According to Rigida Group CEO Jan-Willem ten Dam the company acquired a
32,000 m² plot for its new factory of Rigida Group subsidiary Weinmann of
which over 4,500 m² will be used for factory, another 800 m2 for offices,
dormitory and other staff facilities. Capacity of the new factory is over 4
million rims a year.
"One of the main reasons to invest in this new factory is that our current
facility is too small. It will bring a big improvement in logistics. Next
to that we want to start our new wheelbuilding activities there," explained
Ten Dam. Rigida/Weinmann plans a wheelbuilding production of 400,000
wheelsets annually. The new factory will have a workforce of about 60 people
including temps.
